In need of a townhome!!
I currently live in the Fort. Meade area and it's really bad. I heard about Ferndale but i can't find any listings for townhomes, or apartments there. If i could get a few numbers or websites i would be thankful

Here's the problem: Ferndale is not listed as it's own town, at least according to the MLS. There's several locations in MD that this happens, including Ferndale, Pisgah, Ironsides, etc. Yes, the locations exist, but as far as the MLS is concerned, they're part of other towns.
In order to find townhouses in the area you have to use other methods of search. Here's a link to a list I put together for you. Hope it helps!

You might also check listings in Linthicum and perhaps Glen Burnie....all three areas are very close together.

I personally wouldn't live in Glen Burnie, especially if you have children that you may be sending to school. There are some duplexes in Severna Park and many many townhomes in Arnold. You can hop onto Rt 50, go over to Rt97 then get onto Rt32, maybe a 20-30 minute drive. What is your price range?

Not all of Glen Burnie is on route 2. There are several wonderful schools in that area. Part of Ferndale is in glen burnie and ferndale is a cute area with a small town feel and lots of friendly people, although some would consider it a little bit rednecky. Ferndale and Glen Burnie is much cheaper than Severna park.

Why is Fort Meade bad?
Why is Fort Meade bad? I am currently looking in the Seven Oaks Comminuty in Odenton, but near Fort Mead.
Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

Well, there are neighborhoods that are very close to Ft. Meade that are pretty scary, like Meade Village and Pioneer city. Lots of crime around there. If you are on base, it is okay, but Meade HS (which I believe is on base) does NOT have a good reputation and has had riots and other problems in the past.

I agree with this post......Meade Village and Pioneer City are BAD! However don't just use that to say that the Ft Meade area is all bad. I am in Severn and it is not bad at all. Every area has its pockets. I steer clear of Meade Village and Pioneer and I have no complaints as far as crime or anything like that.
