Correct me if I am wrong but the WalMart in Easton was the first in the state or at least the Eastern Shore. It was built way before everyone considered WalMart the evil giant.

Easton has limits in place, the only place where you can put in a store larger the 65,000 sq.ft. (the size of Giant) is adjacent to an existing shopping center, thats how Target and Lowe's were able to be built. The only place left is maybe somewhere around WalMart/Giant if you can find land adjacent to it big enough. And even that would need the council's approval who have already turned down numerous development requests. Easton would be much different had they caved to all the development, both residential and commercial that has been proposed, but I think its getting to the limit of what the populaton can support.
