In what ways do the merchants support the parking "bait and switch"? My understanding is that they informative review
have lobbied for free parking and expansion of parking availability.Route 40 isn't the most scenic of drives, I can't deny that one. (It isn't any prettier in the OP's hometown of Catonsville.) And we all have our favorite Bad Asian Driver stories.

Still EC is not a great place to live IMO. I am sticking to that. I am not dumb, retarded or what other terms you used. If you like it more power to you, but I was just pointing out some things. I think the topic is done.

People with big bucks and a little knowledge of food and wine want hotsy-totsy bistros, not bars, pubs, not taverns, Thai, Indian, Szechuan, and other ethnic "cuisines". And why not, if it's their thing? Consider California, Oregon and Washington. They are replete with such towns having Victorian architecture, quaint B&Bs, specialty cafes, art galleries, etc. I enjoy a Mom & Pop diner or cafe where I can get down-home meals. If you ever get to New Bern, NC get breakfast at The Country Biscuit on Broad Street. Fried Squash and Tenderloin--yum! To bad such places are becoming rare. I also like a good Thai chicken curry. My point? When we travel or choose a place to live we are fortunate to have a very wide variety of possibilities and I think this is a good thing. I don't know about the parking issue in Ellicott. That borders on evil.
I have traveled all over the country from where I live through the east coast both north and south.
I have lived in Nevada and traveled through Arizona, New Mexico. Also, been to California.

I have also been on over 10 cruises where I traveled from the Caribbean, Bermuda and also South America, Caracas on a church mission helping the poor.

So, I have seen lots.
