This is going to seem like a silly question to most people, but I am really looking for help with the answer. My family and I normally do a beach vacation to Wildwood, NJ each August. This year we have decided to go to Ocean City instead. One of the musts is that the hotel or motel have an outdoor heated pool. We belong to a pool here in NJ that isn't heated so for vacation this is a must. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any search engines with that criteria I can find. Doing regular searches I don't see any places that have a heated outdoor pool. Any suggestions?

Look for hotels with pools and call.

We occasionally stay at the Holiday Inn at 17th St. which has an outdoor pool but I have no idea if it's heated.

Most places will say heated pool on their website. I have now checked over 50 and not one has. Therefore my question.

I don't have to hope, there are plenty of vacancies the last week of August.

Actually you do. Since the mandated change in the start of the school year until after Labor Day the rental season in OC has changed with the last week of August becoming prime time.

If that's when you're going the hotel pools, which are smallish, will likely be almost uncomfortably warm.

If I can't get a place that fits my needs, I will just go somewhere else.

the last two weeks of August the tourist volume fades .... Even last year with the school change there was a noticeable difference. I live in the area and I don't use our pool in August because it's the temperature of bath water, just not refreshing to me. It's going to be hard to find anyone heating a pool in August, the water reaches 80+ degrees without heating it.
