Default Seven Oaks or Piney Orchard in Odenton

We are thinking of moving from PG county to Odenton and I need your input.

Piney Orchard or Seven Oaks (closer to Ft Meade, but still Odenton).

We are 35 and married no children. We are looking for a safe, quite neighborhood with friendly neighbors.

Thanks in advance.

Piney Orchard is a wonderful place to raise children. Very quiet, pretty and friendly. Good schools. I don't really know anything about seven oaks.

Both are nice, but Piney Orchard is better. Seven Oaks is a little bit closer to 32 and 295.

I would also choose Piney Orchard. The location is better. When they first started building at Seven Oaks, we couldn't believe that homes that expensive were being built so close to The Strip. And even though you don't have kids, the reputation of the schools impacts the value of your home and the schools closest to Ft. Meade do not have a good reputation.

If it comes to those two.....Piney Orchard for sure. I was shopping for homes in both of those and just didn't like Seven Oaks at all. I couldn't see myself giving directions to my house by saying "turn at the adult book store and go past all the abandoned buildings and tattoo parlors........."

Seven Oaks is bad news in my opinion.

On another note. I can tell you that we considered Piney Orchard until we found a nicer/bigger townhouse in Quail Run which is in Severn. We instantly fell in love with this neighborhood and it was tens of thousands less that Piney. Worth checking out. There are SFH's here as well.
