Wow! It' nice to see no one is holding back on this one. Well, I am originally from the Eastern Shore and I am not offended by anything that has been said. (Not sure what that says about me) I lived on Kent Island until I was 14 and we then moved to Queenstown. I loved it!!! But I sometimes felt like an outsider myself!! They treat everyone that way, not just newbies! It is a great place to grow up. I remember riding my bike to the beach everyday during the summers, which was no more than a mile from my house. I moved away when I got married but still love to come back for the restaurants. Would I move back, no way! Funny thing is, now I live in Dover DE and according to the one poster, its all the same. Anyway, I like this way of life but it's what I'm used to, yeah they are a bunch of snobs but life goes on. It's what you make of it. There are some really great communities all over. St. Michaels is beautiful but expensive. From what I remember, Easton has high taxes?? But then again, most of MD does. Try www.homesdatabase.com for listings. I believe it is more up to date. Good luck!

Bevans66 is on a distinguished road
I have lived in Denton and as it has a small town feel and it is about a 30 min drive to Easton where the shopping is more appealing.Outlets are about 40mins from Denton. It is about and 90 mins from Rehobeth and 65 mins from D.C. Annapolis. I am trying to sell my renovated farm house in Denton located right on Market street. I have never had any trouble with crime and it is a very charming town. If I had not been relocated due to my job I would still be living there....it is true about it being more of a laid back atmosphere and things are usually closed in town on Sundays and usually don't stay open after dark. Then again I am from the South so it never really bothered me. I will tell you that most people if they can put thier kids in the private school system which is affordable.
