Default Looking at buying a home in Knoxville, MD

I have been viewing homes online and am interested in Knoxville, MD. Can anyone give me any information on the area. I am most interested in safety and school systems.

Knoxville is not a bad location but very rural. I would drive around and see how you are "accepted" and the general feel.

Old town, old values, with many long term residences.

Working in Loudoun County, have you checked into Berryville, VA or Winchester? You will find Clarke and Frederick County, VA much less taxing than Frederick County, Maryland.
Route 7 will also provide a direct shot into Loudoun.

I love the area around Knoxville, Keedysville and Boonsboro. If you are looking for a home that has good proximity to Marc train for less money than you would pay in Frederick County it is a good choice. There are several newer sub divisions in the area in various prices.
If you are not working with a Realtor presently I would be happy to discuss with you further. I've sold a number of homes in that general area and am quite familiar with it.

Good luck in your search.

If you have kids, they'll end up going to brunswick or jefferson elementary and probably brunswick middle/high school.

The town is pretty accepting of all people. We have white, black, asian and all kinds of people. I would recommending driving around like the person above me stated. There's some neat little things here

Taxes are high in Frederick County/MD in general, though living in Knoxville I don't believe you'll have any "city" tax. Can't said my situation would be all that different living in VA though.

Knoxville will give you good access down US 15 to Northern Virginia as well. If you want to hop through West Virginia down Rt 9 to Rt 7 that is an option too.
