Default out of state speeding ticket - insurance

anyone ever receive an out of state speeding ticket with Maryland drivers license? if so, did the insurance go up at all? do insurance companies care about out of state speeding tickets?

I ask this because even if u speed 100 MPH in 10MPH zone out of state, you do not get points added to your Maryland drivers licence... it is "just on record"

my question is how sensitive are insurance companies to this?

You sure about not getting points??? I had a friend who sped thru NC and she was heavily fined, her insurance went up, and she was almost taken to jail. Now mind you she was going 80 in a 65. I think this also depends on your insurance company. All states are linked together on their DMV systems.

... you are right on that because I have an out of state DL and got a ticket here in Maryland and the points went back to my home state.

this isnt true in every state.. it really depends what state catches you. I got caught in miami speeding (trying to punch in on time lol) 75 in a 45... i gave the cop my Jersey liscense.. I still dont have points.. and my insurance company doesnt have a clue

Never say never..they are all linked. Just say you have a revoked/suspended license in one state, you can't go to another state and get a license....everything pulls up. I think they did that because people were doing that in the past.
