Maryland is the Mid-Atlantic. Depending on what part you live some are suburbs of Baltimore and others are suburbs of DC. It's more like Baltimore, DC, VA area instead of Philly.

Yea i think cecil county, md is the only county that is counted in philly's metro but that does make three metro areas!

Southern Md near DC and northern VA has terrible traffic. Northern Md, like North east, Elkton, etc. are rural and don't even look like their southern counterparts. These are sort of "tweener" towns that are equi-distance from Philly and Bmore. So, the metro action doesn't impact as much
