Hogan has only recently decided to demand that hospitals etc. report what have been administered and threatened to withhold more doses to those who are under performing, but not sure how he will do that.

There are also those health care workers who are refusing vaccines, a few outright and the rest, it seems, want a wait and see. Absurd! Their job is to help keep others alive and comfortable and yet some, perhaps as much as 45%, are waiting to see how others react to vaccine before they get the shot themselves? Okay, that is their right to do so... but Maryland should be moving into the next phase instead of waiting on healthcare workers, first responders, etc. to make a decision. If they are not jumping at the chance to get the vaccine, they have already made their decision. The vaccine will still be available to them in the other phases, so let's get on with it.

In my opinion, there should just be a lottery system. When your number comes up, you accept or decline. Once we have gone through the population the vaccine opens up to everyone.

I am also not sure if I am in Phase 2 or Phase 3. Then again, a health condition might put me in Phase 1C. My wife is a lab scientist at a hospital and even she doesn't know what is going on.

Why? I mean 'Florida' didn't seem to mind the virus in the first place.
I'd venture to say that 95 percent of those over 65 here in Florida want this vaccine. There were 85,000 people that signed up in Manatee county in just a few days. You are listening to the media too much. Reality is far different.

Actually at the 5PM press conference, he said it is now opening up, starting Monday for category 1B, and January 25 for Category !C. Makes me happy, but that is a lot of people to be vaccinated, so I'll have to see if I can get an appointment. In the meantime we need to get my MIL an appointment asap since she is over 80.

No link needed. Its common knowledge. A lot of people, even medical staff do not trust the vaccine and I don't trust it either.

Why do they want to give us this vaccine so badly? Hmmm... no other vaccine has been pushed on us like this one.

Young people should come before old people.

Funny you should say that after you say you don't even want it. A lot of older people would take the vaccine meant for you if they could get it sooner.

Our county was taking scheduled and ''waiting list' appointments up until yesterday afternoon for the next week. I checked about 30 minutes after the announcement of the new dates andi it says all clinics are full and new ones will be announced on Tuesday. It doesn't matter which groups can get the vaccine if there isn't enough to go around.

I just found the AAC registration page yesterday and got myself and my MIL registered. I have no idea when they will contact either of us because there was no indication as to any of that, or even where we might have to go.
