Default Montgomery County vs. PG County

Hello,

I've been a frequent visitor to the site and now I'm a member. I'm considering relocating to either Montgomery or PG Counties. However, I have heard so much about PG county but not enough on Montgomery.

Here is the deal:

I'm looking to be within 1 hour commute (driving) to DC, housing ($250-$350K range-3 bedroom), good schools, shopping, taxes, etc. I also want to know what is the benefit of buying a newly constructed home like in Bowie along Route 50/301 or an existing home? What are the pros and cons of living in either county?

Any and all information is appreciated.
