It's near Tick neck park near the middle school off of Ft. Smallwood Rd in the community of Rock Creek. So no, not in Green Haven or off Catherine ave.

Close enough Still not a great area being around Northeast High School. I had a friend that lived back in there when I was in school. Those houses were built in the early 90's correct? It's a nightmare trying to make a left hand turn out of that complex.

Depends on what high school they would be attending. I love Severna Park and Arnold, if you can live there I would!

We have friends that live in Pasadena in a beautiful development called Compass Pointe. The homes were extremely expensive though, completely our of our price range. They have pretty much lived in that area their entire lives and love it... I don't know much about the area other than driving to and from their home.

Wrong again. Rock Creek is where Ft. Smallwood meets Edwin raynor. Do you know Pasadena at all?

I have friends who live in that development as well. It is a nice area. Edwin Raynor is a busy street, but not a nightmare to turn onto. I wouldn't mind living there. The people I know that live there have lived there for 10 years and they are happy. They have children in elementary school that I believe attend Sunset Elementary.

Agree, It's a nice middle class residential area. The traffic is less than that of Severna Park and Annapolis.

I live in Pasadena. We're not from the east coast, so I can't say with certainty that what I'm going to say is exactly accurate, but I had a real estate agent tell me that the reason our "side" of Pasadena is on septic and well water is to keep section 8 out. There is a HUGE difference, in my opinion, between Lake Shore (well water side) and the "other side" of Pasadena.
But, SP and Arnold are nicer and had we done a little more research, would've opted to move there. You can actually find homes, comparable to what I live in now for LESS in those areas than you can here (go figure). Our kids went to Bodkin Elementary, which is the best in the area. I also really like our middle school (CBMS), but have been hugely disenchanted with the high school. My daughter ended up at SPHS b/c the problems were so bad, but even SPHS has it's issues- they seem to nip them in the bud pretty quick- even though they've had their share of controversy too. SPHS is a little more diverse, which was a pleasant surprise. Oh how I wish we would've known!
Pasadena is (again, only in my opinion as an outsider) this no man's land, so close to what I view as normal- as you turn the corner to SP and Arnold. What I don't appreciate about this area is the bigoted attitudes of it's residents. I'm sure it exists everywhere around here, but the educated tend to curb their tongue, unlike here. It's in all honesty, very bad in that respect.

Water/sewer service enable dense development. Zoning can be changed and exemptions can be granted, but if a site can only support so many residences because of the well/septic limitations - that will not be changed. In spread out residential areas there is often a resistance to dense development, and when presented with the option of getting public water/sewer service or having major obsticles to development, many residents of those areas will happily keep their wells and septic tanks.
Unfortunantly Chesapeake High School is only 8% non-white. Children with bigoted parents that do not have positive experiences with peers from other races/cultures without their parents around (like at school) don't have the chance for those "values" to be challenged and changed before they become ingrained.
