Question Taskers Chance in Frederick Maryland

I am planning to buy a home and the Taskers Chance community in Frederick Maryland caught my interest. Can anyone tell me more about this community.I visited once with friends and liked it at first glace however I know much research is necessary. Any and all feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance!

Not a bad area, but a little to busy/overgrown for me personally; however, since the area is also an older community house prices are likely cheaper than other newer areas of Frederick. I owned a house in south Frederick off Rt.85 in Kingsbrook and was very happy there until I decided to relocate for my job.

I personally wouldn't recommend anyone I know to move to any development off of alt.40. In addition there has been some issues of gangs in some of the developments I have not heard of that area in particular but it is an issue in many of the subdivisions in Frederick. Unfortunately Frederick was a beautiful area but too much growth too fast and no one could keep up with the issues that come with that growth.

I live in Taskers Chance, in a townhome and really like it. The area is very convenient to shopping and commuter routes, as well as public transportation. It's relatively quiet -- although with construction further into the development, there is a measure of truck traffic up and down Bel Aire. I am a member of the board for the HOA, and the next meeting is Feb 15th. If you're intersted in TC, you might want to drop in and see what others in the area say. I also happen to be a Realtor <g>, so if you're interested in buying a home, drop me an email.

Default Taskers Chance

Thank you very much for your respose. We are exploring properties right now in that community and are particularly interested in chestnut hill area. So our preference is to commute via marc train/commuter buses to and from work in the DC area. Do you have any feedback or experience in walking to the Rite Aid bus stop and taking either the 50IT bus or the meet the marc connector bus.
