Good pet boarding facilities in Silver Spring area? Please help! (Columbia: apartment, travel)

Hi, I will be moving to the Silver Spring area in July (actually, it's halfway between Olney and Aspen Hill, but it's still apparently Silver Spring zip code). Anyway, I am moving from Virginia where we have been boarding our one and a half year old dog at a great boarding facility in Chantilly, Virginia called Club Pet International Kennel. Unfortunately, it will be too far of a drive to continue to board her there once we move. Can anyone recommend a place that is similar in the setup/price of Club Pet? I really like places that have indoor/outdoor runs for dogs. Thanks in advance!

I used to live in Silver Spring - and moved to the Eastern Shore - I highly recommend Canine Country Club on Bennet Point Road in Queenstown, MD (if you will be going to Ocean City or any points on the Maryland Shore) - they are wonderful and it is a beautiful setting with indoor/outdoor areas. (Maryland Pet Boarding, Grooming and Training: Canine Country Club) 410/827-4245 - I won't leave Bucky with anyone else.

Edited to add this Vet in Silver Spring was my family vet since 1965 (Four Corners Animal Hospital) - first the father - then the son - I would go by any suggestions they have for good boarding locations:

Wow, that seems like a great place! And cheap, too! Unfortunately I MapQuested it and it will be about an hour and 20 minutes from my new apartment in Silver Spring (I normally board my dog to travel up to Pennsylvania). If I can find a place that's as good as that and closer, I'll be set!

Depending on how close you are to Columbia consider Preston Country Club for Pets. It is just off Rt 29 and just south of Columbia.

Keep their name and number for when you travel to Ocean City or Rehobeth Beaches - the Eastern SHore Location is right on your way.

TuborgP, that sounds like it would be perfect for us! I have tried to find a Web site for Preston Country Club for Pets and am coming up with nothing...how are the boarding rates there (I just tried calling but it's after-hours)? We have a 45-pound Lab/Border Collie mix. Thanks!
