St Charles???????????????
Ok, finally I've got the job in Indian Head, and I'm so exited, I've got 6 weeks before I relocate. I've read a lot from many of you that say that St. Charles is not recommended, but in the Money magazine there is a chart that compares the cities, and actually in the chart St. Charles seems better than Waldorf. Appears with a lower crime rate. Is it true. Please any advice would be really appreciate it.

I sent you an email on this but also have one more comment.
What would be best is to look for a home first and then check out that neighborhood on the police website. They give you all the problems they had. If you want, I can send the link.
I'm not sure what part they consider St. Charles and I have lived in Charles County for over 30 years.

Waldorf and St Charles are almost one in the same .To me if you are in IndianHead I would look in La Plate,White Plains,Bryans Road.

Thank you Giantone. Is there any area in particular around those towns that you talk about that I should avoid? What are the better zip codes for rent?

Not really,my advice is just come here ....(or go there) and look for yourself.The agents can help you more than I can. |

you should check out white plains, pomfret, la plata, and indian head. they're all excellent options! Also, make sure you take the time to shop around when looking for a home, there are some really great deals out there if you take the time to search!

Well, we'll only got Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning, will be flying back to NC on Wednesday afternoon. I hope that would be enough time to find an apartment.
