Now how did we get from the original topic Charles County to discuss PG county.

The poster is asking for information regarding Charles county not PG county.

Crime is not found anywhere in the OP's question. Please stay on topic.
Thanks.

Taken from Wikipedia for St. Charles County, under History:

"Many sections of St. Charles are still being developed, including a 60-years-old and above retirement home and many themed restaurants along the highly populated U.S. Route 301. Hampshire, Lancaster, Dorchester, Charles Crossing, Avalon and Westlake Village are around the newest and most populated neighborhoods in this area. The original neighborhoods of St. Charles are Carrington, Bannister, Wakefield, Sentry Woods and Huntington."

Perhaps the large volume of townhome sales are short sales, investors, or people wanting to move up to a larger home since home prices are now declining. You may just have to physically see the area to make a decision.

It was my response that started it ...wasn't meant to.I've lived in the Hanpshire neighborhood for over 19 years and in Waldorf for 28 .There really isn't a WestLake village, there is Westlake High school.

So far all you have posted are the areas with crimes.

Why not post about the areas in Pg county that are very safe such as Bowie,Upper Marlboro,Clinton,Brandywine,Mitchellville,Aquasco, Largo,Fort Washington.
