How about the reverse commute from D.C. to Waldorf?
Hi,
I'm moving to D.C., but will commuting out to Waldorf, MD. Anyone know what that's like? Any better than with the commute into D.C.?
Thanks!

Thats a jam packed commute during rush hour times. It may be a little lighter becuase you are going the opposite direction as some of the traffic but still gonna be busy drive.

Thanks for the info!
Any idea how long it takes? I've heard 45 minutes, or is that wishful thinking?

45 is no traffic delays. I'd say 1 hr to 1hr 15 is more accurate, but I tend to round up.
I must say i havent been over in that sector of Maryland in 6 years or so.

45 min is pretty fair if you're going against rush hour traffic (i.e., out of DC in AM; into DC in PM). If you were fighting rush hour, you could expect 1 hour or so (maybe 1.5 if there's an accident).

Depending on how close u are to the freeways in DC to get into Maryland .. will dictate your actual travel time. If you are rather close to 395 and 295 Southbound - then it shouldnt take you that long at all. Since you are going against ruch hour traffic, it shouldnt take more than 45 minutes at the most! - without traffic - it can take 30 mins - (to get from 228 to Chinatown)
