If you're looking for a big new development, I don't think there's much like that in EC at this time. The only thing I can think of is Taylor Village (taylorvillage.com) located between routes 95 and 29. There's still construction going on so I assume they're still selling. What I'm seeing more of in this area are builders putting in a few new houses in existing neighborhoods. There's a lot of that, especially off of Rts. 103 and 99. What you could do is check out the websites for the builders listed for Taylor Village and see where they're currently building. There are new communities being built in the Elkridge area, near Rt.1, but I don't know anything about them. Maybe someone else knows more.

Just adding to the above. Here are some builders who work in the area. From their websites, it looks like all of them are doing something in parts of Ellicott City, even if it's own a few houses.

As far as the new housing developments I know Trinity Homes, the home builder who built my house, is big in Ellicott City. They had a communities page on their site that had their new developments. Trinity Homes - Howard County Home Builders - New Homes for Sale Ellicott City, Maryland .

I also know for the guy right above me that NV is building new townhomes in Columbia.

There is a new townhome community being built in Ellicott City by Ryan Homes: Dorsey Crossing. It is at the intersection of Columbia Road and Old Annapolis Road just north of 108.

Shipley's Grant, right off Route 100, is in Ellicott City, and the community looks like it is going to be very nice. Bozzuto is the builder.

Does anyone know if they're planning to upgrade the intersection near Shipley's Grant? If not, it's going to be a nightmare. It's bad enough now.

ChosenGSR, if there's any chance you'd be interested in a resale, I was scanning the listings yesterday and noticed a ton of townhomes for sale in the Woodstock area, which is really NW Ellicott City. Most of these are pretty new, very large and pretty expensive, IMO. I was surprised how many are on the market. The zip is 21163. They also might still be building some new ones there.
