There are condos for rent in Fort Washington. You'll find town homes and single family homes for rent as well. What's available depends on what you can afford to spend on rent. I won't get into all the other nonsense on this page.

Thanks for your feedback Liliblu. I've been studying the housing market for commuting to Bolling and, to tell you the truth, my head is just spinning. I did not anticipate it would be such a difficult challenge to find a decent place to live that is close to work, not too expensive, and not in a high-crime area. However, I can see I was greatly mistaken; the D.C.-area housing market is really a terrible mess.

SInce you will be wroking In South East DC. WHy not find a place to rent in DC instead of Maryland. DC have plenty of nice areas. Some parts of South East are nice

If you are having a hard time searching on your own, talk with a realtor. There are plenty that work with renters. Tell them what your looking for and let them steer you in the right direction. There are plenty of great places to live in the Washington Metro area.
