This is tough becuase I beleive that PG had problems before but I agree to an extent becuase what you said is happening in PG ,PG is sending to Calvert and Charles counties. Most of the crime in those counties is commited by people from PG.

Giantone I take it that you have never lived a day of your life in PGC. Your biased accessment seems to cloud over your racism. Unlike you, those that really reside here can state the negative and the positive. You can refer to the statement under my name.
With that being said, I will be the first to tell you that yes there is crime in PGC. There is crime in DC. There is crime in NOVA, Charles, St. Mary's, Montgomery...etc. etc.etc.
No matter where you live there will be crime, and not just by blacks either.
Has a crime ever happen to me or my family? No, thank God.
Have I had friends to be killed? Yes, because of the life they chose to live.
Education in the US nowadays is what you make of it. I made it the best for me and I went to a high school that wasn't the best. If you are poor and can not afford to send your child to a nice private school in Charles County, then what do you do? Send them to the school that is where they live.
Life is what you make it. People who want a fair and balanced (even though I hate fox news) explaination of PGC please DM me.
Thanks in advance

I think that sentence says a lot. Yes, innocent people do get killed once in awhile. However, the majority of the time, even in bad neighborhoods, its those looking for trouble that are hurt. It's one gang member vs another. If you want to succeed, you will.

Exactly. If you mind your own business, the most thing that will happen to you is getting your car stolen in PGC really.
I'll be the first person to admit that I hate Philadelphia because of the crime, but that is not to say that there are not nice areas to live in despite that.
Some people on this thread mainly have an agenda and they use crime statistics to veil it.

Well, I was minding my own business in front of my home (New Carrollton)when I watched a drug deal go down about 3 doors down. And I was minding my business on 295 in Riverdale, when a guy who had cut me off waved a gun at me. Maybe he didn't like my car. It was an 86 Chevy Nova, in rust red.
I was also minding my own business in Riverdale when I got robbed at the ATM. Unfortunately, all the people around the little shopping center minded their business as well, and ignored what was going on.
Just wanted to throw my two cents in, but having said that- I don't think all of PG is bad. I do think that parts of it are bad, and if you live in or frequent a rough area, you're more likely to have things happen to you- whether you mind your business or not.

Lived a day,no,how about 2 years in Forestville .Worked everyday for the last thirty years in PGC and it was in UpperMarlboro and Landover! You guys can't find one post I said there was no crime in the counties you mention but I did say and have posted facts to back it up just as other have .....PG is crime is bad and most of the crime performed in Charles and Calvert county is by people from PG.I fully understand you want to defend where it is you live but when people ask is this safe or is that place safe all I tell them is the truth and to check with the Police first before believing anyone.I find it funny that when posters such as yourself can't make an arguement against the facts....it's "Racism"
