Red face Moving to Hagerstown need info

Hello, I am trying to find out if it would be hard to live in Hagerstown, Maryland if you are a Black/White couple with a bi-racial six year old. I am looking to move and want my daughter to be comfortable. Also how is the job market in general? Thanks

With many changes due to growth in the Hagerstown area, I would think you would be ok, but not ignored.

There are still many old seeded beliefs in this neck of the woods. I grew up in Martinsburg, WV just south of Hagerstown and the overall mentality is about the same. There are mixed folks in the area, but few.

Have to say there is still much of the friendly, smile to your face then kick you as soon as you turn attitudes there.
