Default Relocating to Cumberland

Hi,
I am in the process of getting ready to relocate to Cumberland from North Bel Air. While I was looking through the real estate ads I saw a plethora of houses that were abnormally cheap under $100k. So, I am a bit concerned as to whether or not I am looking in safe areas or not. A lot of the homes were very old and many of them were beautiful with the original architechture intact. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Why are you moving to Cumberland? Is there a reason? I am just bored when I go there. That's why I ask. My husband wants to work for the railroad so he loves going there.

The average price for a house in Cumberland is about 100k. The bad job market and distance for D.C. and Baltimore keeps the prices low. For 100k and a little lower you can get a great old house in a good neighborhood. The best thing to do is post the streets you are looking at and I can comment on them.

nmlmom, what do you like to do for fun? Cumberland has a wealth of outdoor and indoor activities. You just need to know where to look.
