Default Any Places to Live between Largo and DC??

I'm a single female in my mid 20s moving to the DC area to work in Largo, MD. However, I'd like to be closer to DC than Largo.

I've been trying my darndest to find a nice, safe, inexpensive, and 'neighborhood-y' place to live located in between Largo and DC...but i've had no luck!

Can anyone help? It seems like its just commercial areas and no Silver Spring type place exists.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Largo is a great area. You should stay there. If you need to get to DC, the Metro is there.
