Default Frederick, MD to DC

Hi. I do not own a car, and am wondering if there are any options for getting from Frederick, MD to DC (or Shady Grove metro) against rush hour (like at 6 pm at night).

Long story short - I often go to PGH. Greyhound and Amtrak to Pittsburgh are a time sinkhole (very indirect) so I usually just get a ride with someone. However, I can take a direct Greyhound bus to Frederick (which only takes 4 hours as opposed to the 7 to 10 hours that bus takes to get into DC) if I can get a way out of Frederick... So close to DC yet so far...

Thanks.

How about the Marc train? I believe you can pick it up from downtown Frederick (South Street) or Brunswick and it'll take you as far as Union Station DC.

This link will show you the complete schedule.

Appreciate the suggestion, but I had looked into that and it seemed like the only trains from Frederick were with rushour in the morning.
