Default Rents in Annapolis?

May be relocating to Annapolis from FL. Grew up in NJ and have lived in NY, and Northern VA, (Preferred VA-DC area). I am just curious about rents - for a 2 bedroom - in the area. I am not that picky about the area as I have lived in NYC and I do not have children. I am not looking to move to an area like Anacostia in DC, but like I said, I have lived in the city, so... anyway, we are not looking to spend over $1000 dollars. Would consider Edgewater.

Smile Rent in Annapolis

It will be hard to find a 2 bedroom apartment/ house for $1000 or under. Your going to be looking closer to $1300 - $1800. Reasonable rent is still sometimes available, but it's usually passed from friend to friend. It's all who you know in Annapolis. Watergate apartments in Eastport ( a small bridge away from Historic Annapolis) has reasonable rents and is on the water. But to find a private home, I would keep an eye on Craigs list. King Properties own most of the rental units in Historic Annapolis, but don't expect to get your security deposit back when you move out. Unless you follow the lease to a tee and take (date stamped) pictures before you move in. Annapolis is a Wonderful place to life. It's a small town with access to lots of big town fun. Water, friendly people, great bars. Look in Eastport if you can. There are still some hidden rental treasures here. You just have to keep your eyes open.
