New shopping center at MD 175 & MD 108
I know that there is a Lowe's and a Best Buy being built at this location in the Columbia/Elkridge area. I've heard rumors of a Trader Joe's going in, as well, but the TJ's website doesn't mention it yet and I haven't seen a TJ's sign at the site. Does anyone have any other info, or can anyone point me to a website? A local friend of mine says she's seen a website about the shopping center, but can't remember the URL.

According this news story, TJ is on its way to Gateway Overlook in Columbia, MD

there is also a best buy going in there, also I heard on the radio a commercial for Trader Joes, and they said coming soon to the new shopping center on 108 & 175.

P.s.
I just realized the article is from last summer, so I went to TJ's website to see if Columbia was listed in the "coming soon" locations. It's not there, so I used their "location request" form to ask about it. I tried to e-mail them about this months ago, but their website didn't feature a "contact us" address. But the last time I was at a Trader Joe's, I asked a staff member (again) about the rumor, and he told me the site now features a way to contact them as well as a specific form for location requests.
I will let you know if/what I hear back from them.

Yes, there is no more recent information on Columbia.
The couple of times that I have emailed them, someone always back to me, even if 2 days later.

Trader Joes Columbia
I friend of mine received an email from TJ's stating they were definitely coming to Columbia, they should open in Fall 2007.

Columbia still hasn't made it to the "coming soon" location list on the TJ's website, which makes me wonder what is going on. I only ever go past the shopping center from the east (toward Target and Columbia Crossing) and haven't been able to see any signage that indicates Trader Joe's is going in...
