Mr. T- my mom lives in Frederick and moved there from Michigan with her new husband. She loves it, and she lives near the park. I wish I could remember the name of it... Maybe Carroll Creek? It has a tall statue It is convenient to stores, a very nice downtown, etc. I would recommend it to anyone. It is close to Baltimore and D.C. for the occasional big-city life but is also very close to mountains! If you like hiking or just viewing, this could be a great opportunity

As a Fort Washington resident the biggest problem I've come across has been the traffic on 210 and deer, ground hogs, and rabbits eating my plants and flowers. The occasional fox has made their way through the yard as well. The home prices here vary depending on the age and size of the home. The neighborhoods are quiet. There are plenty of places to walk. The Marina is nearby or could try your hand at golf. I'm close to the beltway, I have an easy drive to Charles county when I go there. It's a nice place to live.

I would say that crime mostly happens in and around the areas that surround the cities, DC and Baltimore. Me personally, I have never been a victim of a crime and I live in PG nor have any of my family members. But to go back to the point, there is racism in MD. A lot! What county was it where some men burned down almost an entire new housing community becasue thy did not want blacks to move in? Yeah perfect example to show that there are racist people in MD.

And they weren't men they were D heads. Most white people in PG don't have a sheet and pillow case that need picked up at the cleaners!
Their thoughts are consumed by just trying to make ends meet like most everybody else.

Charles county is not pg county its right out side of Pg county. Charles county especially waldorf was majority white but now its starting to mix so I donot think some of the whites like the fact that the area is mixing.

I would never allow a few dumb ass people to control my thoughts and attitude with their assinine actions.
And when he returned from Mecca he told of worshipping with blue eyed blonde haired fellow Muslims. He had no fear of nor hate towards them.
He said he would no longer be known as X the unknown. For he knew who he was, he was Shabazz. Shorly after, he had a chance encounter with his former student, the man once known as "Clay". The man once known as "Clay" turned his back on the man who had found himself. Shortly after the man now called Shabazz was murdered by his former leader and brothers who betrayed him. Many years later I watched the man once known as "Clay" lite the fire in Atlanta for the games that wars are put on hold to play. I wonder how much pain he must feel for his betrayal of his teacher.
For he sided with the ones who would take his money and leave him penniless.
One day he will see the teacher again and the teacher will wash away his guilt and make him whole again. The teacher went from pimp to preacher to prophet all in one lifetime. I will teach other about you and you will never be forgotten.

Fact of the matter is that Charles is a populist blue-ribbon county dealing w/ minorities that they would rather avoid. And to the person who said racism is very apparent in Maryland, I truly concur! it comes from the rural hicks that want to revive the 1800s as well as those who live near lower-income minorities. But what I have noticed from this state is that lower-income minorities (specifically blacks and Latinos) seem to be more prevalent than educated and affluent black and Hispanics, giving whites and Asians of MD a "good excuse" to hate and avoid blacks and Latinos (this is pretty much the norm in UMD). The only exception where I see professional underrepresented minorities integrating well with other races is in Columbia and most of MoCo.
