Post Aberdeen

Not very touristy at all. In fact there really isn't much to do besides check a minor league baseball game out at Ripken stadium, which is nice and modern. Aberdeen is actually Cal Ripken's hometown, I want to say he still lives in the area. Aberdeen Proving Grounds is a government facility employing thousands (including one of my best friends, a chemical engineer) but doesn't exactly have the same draw as something like NSA or the FBI building. You do hear the occasional explosion from the testing they do at the proving grounds.

There are a few decent hangouts - Towne Pub & Grill, the Eagle's Nest for some live blues music, maybe the Iron House? Nothing too exciting but good local joints. If you play golf you're only a little ways away from Bulle Rock in Havre de grace where they have one of the LPGA tour stops - it's an awesome course. Have fun in Aberdeen, but I am sure you'll be finding your way to Baltimore most of the time for fun
