silver spring would provide a good commute to cp i think. pretty diverse there. other places like rockville and gburg but worse commute. lot of indian students in cp too. single, married, kids? renting? buying?
kids how old? generally for schools go to moco. that would count out greenbelt, college park , lanham etc. i'm pretty sure the info I've given is accurate.

here's some links for Indian associations in the area

Most Indians live in Montgomery County or Howard County. In Montgomery County: Gaithersburg, Rockville, Germantown, Olney & the northern parts of Silver Spring such as Colesville.

There is a equal if not larger Indian population in Howard County in Columbia and Ellicott City.

I would actually start in Columbia and Ellicott City. Housing will be slightly more affordable, and the commute while be easier than from Montgomery County.

No way ec or columbia could be a better commute than northern ss? anyway ask about schools if you need to. greatschools.net not sure if that's a good resource.
