Severna park is not a city. It is a town. It is a suburb. Yes, traffic is terrible..........

SP is a great place to live with a family - schools are fantastic. Traffic is heavy during peak hours but otherwise pretty average in my opinion - traffic lights slow things down but you can get to a grocery store from most parts of SP within 5 or 10 minutes. Plus, your close to Annapolis which has great shopping! Don't let the traffic talk scare you away.

Slots in Maryland was just passed this election so Laurel Racetrack will be getting a slew of slots - I can't even imagine what the traffic will be like

Umm, the kids from Severna Park are somewhat the most over-privilaged kids in Maryland. I actually asked a 18 year old girl where she was from, and she said "Severna Park, the Beverly Hills of Maryland! You couldn't afford to live there" "Umm, hello Miss, i've lived there for 29 years"

But don't get discouraged, abuot 70% of the folks are willing to smile and speak to you in broad daylight in SP.

could live in Shipley's choice which is in Millersville (but last I heard in the severna pk school dist that is shipley's choice specifically) shipley's choice is right by I 97. perhaps a place in SP on Jumpers Hole Rd like chartridge. local traffic may be better there than central sp.
