Default Moving to Annapolis-- suggestions

Hello Everyone!! I am moving to Annapolis in the next couple of months and have started my apartment search. I am very excited to move to Annapolis. I currently live in NYC and lI amooking forward to experience something new.

In my apartment search, I am finding alot of mixed opinions/views on the apartment complexes that I have found. What apartment complexes do you suggest and what ones should I totally avoid?

Also- I look forward to eat lots of crab!! What are some good restaurants that I MUST go too!!!

I really appreciate your input.. Thanks!!

I'm not too familiar with the residential area of Annapolis but I can definitely recommend you to an amazing crab house.

Harris Crab House. I've been going there ever since I can remember and usually have my birthday dinner there as well. I've recommended the place to everyone and anyone I meet that likes crabs and they love the place. It's pretty much one of the only things I'll miss when I move away from Maryland. Very easy to get to as well, right off of Rt. 50.

When you go though, be sure to wear to wear clothes that you will not mind getting dirty (however they'll supply you with bibs if you ask) and get the nutty buddy at the end, it's their homemade ice cream cone (it's huge so you'll probably want to share). It's definitely a MUST. ^^

Cantler's is by far my favorite crab house--every sense of the word, papered tables, etc. It is right on Mill Creek (Forest Beach Road) and you can even boat there. It's definitely off the beaten path, but so worth it.

Mike's Crab House on Riva Road in Annapolis/Riva is excellent. Welcome to the area.

I agree with Buddy's. All of their food is very good.

Are you looking to rent or buy? Also, what is your budget if you're looking to rent? Regatta Bay is excellent but very pricey. I normally check out forrent.com when we're looking to move.

Hey there! i am looking to rent. I am interested in renting a 2 bedroom. I have looked @ regatta bay online and found them to be really nice! I have searched Stone point also. I am really excited to move to Annapolis! Are there some areas to avoid?

Personally, I would avoid Eastport. It has its nice area's but certainly has its nasty area's as well and the "butt up" to each other. Welcome!
