Looking for private school in the Annapolis area for a 2nd grader and K. Both are boys and I would like some help if anyone can comment.

Also would downtown be a good place to live with kids? We really don't like the suburbs. What about parks near downtown, It looks like the yards are small, but thats ok if parks are close.

Thanks!

There is a great park in Annapolis called Quiet Waters Park. The community next to it is Hillsmere and your children would go to public Hillsmere Elementary. Private school is right there, Key School, pricey but very fine school.
Hillsmere not really a suburb, not out in the burbs, but it is a neighborhood, and not walking distance to downtown.
The downtown area has no real parks, but certainly places to walk like the city dock and State Circle.
Bay Ridge is waterfront community, but not downtown. Many send their kids to Key School.

Can anyone speak further about Hillsmere Elementary school? We are transplants from Michigan and have a little boy starting kindergarten next year. We are currently enrolled in a private school in Annapolis, but would like candid input on Hillsmere just in case we were swayed the wrong (and more costly)direction.
