I would try looking at the Bel Air/Abingdon area if I were you. There's plenty of things to do, and most stuff is within a 5-10 drive (malls, food, shopping). The real estate around the Proving Grounds aren't the best since most are low income housing (Aberdeen (APG North) and Edgewood (APG South)). Normally the crime rate is a little higher south of Rt 40. Plus you would have to deal with a lot of the explotions from the APG Test Center that will rock houses around the area. Good Luck!

Welcome to the area. If its top schools, and a single family home with a yard, then you need to look in Bel Air, Churchville, Fallston or Forest Hill. All these areas are serviced by great schools and s/b commutable in less than 30 minutes to APG. As such, the home prices are likely to be more expensive. As I drive around, I see lots of for sale signs in these areas, so you are probably in a good bargaining position.

Good luck!

I third the Bel Air, Churchville, etc. areas. Good Schools, what we call expensive may not be expensive to you. Good areas, avaid the areas near 40.I used to live in a great community in Edgewood 5 minutres from APG and train and I was sick and tired of my house shaking from those d*mn explosives!
