Well, they are pretty old and just don't seem well-maintained. For not much more money, you could likely find better. Best of luck.

Apartment Ratings - Apartments for Rent with Ratings and Reviews from Actual Renters is a good site with ratings on apartments and some condo buildings. check out the nearby buildings to where you are looking and see what the residents say not only about their buildings, but the area. Find out where the police log is posted online and check it.

Sorry to drag this one up again but I tired the link above and a google search and got zilch. I need to know what the neighborhood is like (safety, quiet, quality). Any help would be appreciated. I am thinking about buying in the complex and don't want to make an expensive mistake.

I lived there for 3 years about between 2003 and 2006. It's a pretty good neighborhood in my opinion. Never had any issues with any crime at all. Since I think most of the units are independently owned and then rented there could be a big difference in each one. Pool was nice. Parking can be a little difficult. Other than that, no complaints. Also, very convenient to the mall, the pike, and metro.

When I say might be an issue, i mean you might not be able to park directly infront of your building. Every resident gets a permit (I think you can get up 2 per condo). On braxfield there are buildings on both sides so those spots fill up quickly. The worse case, you drive down the hill to where the buildings are only on one side and park down there. Just as an FYI, I never actually got a parking permit and just used the visitor spots and never once could not park in the neighborhood.
