National Harbor, Maryland (hotel, restaurants, price)

I am excited about going to Maryland next week. <LOVE IT!>

Does anyone have any experience with any of the new restaurants, sites, etc., at National Harbor Maryland or Washington DC. I'm specifically asking about National Harbor. Will be there with my SO. Suggestions appreciated.

It is very nice, however when I went there they were still completing a number of projects, and this was maybe two or three months ago. The only restaurants that were open then were McCormick and Scmidts (sp), Ben and Jerry, Potbelly and the eateries within the Gaylord Convention Center. They have the water trolley's as well that can take you to Georgetown or to Old Town Alexandria to do some shopping or have lunch, plus the view and the scenery were spectacular. Overall impression was that it will be a beautiful location when totally completed, and so far it is looking great. Have Fun!!

McCormick and Schmicks is pricey, but the food is OUTSTANDING!! Potbelly's is a sub shop that is pretty tasty, and there's also the Nationals Cafe in the Gaylord Hotel complex. Also, the Cirque De Soliel show "Kooza" is performing at national harbor as well. Tickets are expensive, but the show is awesome!
