Default Coffee joints in Laurel??

Is there any java joint on main street in Laurel? I thought I saw something at the Rainbow Florist shop but I think it was actually coffee flavored candy flowers that they sell. . .

I know I can get coffee at High's there, but wondered if there was a little local brew house.

You'd be able to get a cup of joe at the Little Tavern which is just off of Main Street and route 1 on the right next to a carpet store. While you're there, you can pick yourself up a fresh donut. That's what they're specializing in now. Later in the day, you could get yourself one of their small hamburgers. If you're not keen on donuts, you can go across the street from the tavern and have some at the Silver Diner along with a full meal. If you must have your cup of joe on Main Street, Oliver's Tavern might have some.

In regards to Rainbow Florist Shop, I suspect the coffee they were offering was in a gift set.

As far as I know, there aren't any Starbucks on Main Street. I think the closest Starbucks in relation to Main Street would be in the Safeway Supermarket in the shopping center off Route 1 by the Best Buy. There is a full blown Starbucks further down at the strip mall off of Route 1 and Contee Road.

Great - I hope Somethings special is still there since that will be in walking distance. BTW, the full-blown Starbucks - is it a drive through? Makes it easier when I have the kids in tow - though having them actually helps me SAVE $ b/c I really have to think is it worth it to schelp them in and out of the car for a (expensive) cup of joe??

Somethings Special
504 Main St, Laurel, MD 20707

There are a couple of Starbucks in Laurel - the closest one to Main Street is up Route 1 in the little strip mall on the right that houses Radio Shack and Petco

The other ones were already posted above... I don't think any are drive thru, although the new one on Contee may be drive thru - I've not visited that one...

Dunkin Donuts is up Route 1 on the left

The one on Contee and Route 1 across from the Shoppers Food Warehouse doesn't have a drive-thru. I didn't know there was one by the strip mall next to Laurel Mall but then, I don't go there much either.

I drove by the one at the strip mall next to Laurel Mall. It doesn't have a drive-thru, looks somewhat small, is located between the the Jenny Craig shop and the futon cushion shop and may have recently opened. I saw a signed saying "just opened" Starbucks closeby. The part of the mall its at is just past the closed tastee-freez on the right going toward Laurel Mall and before you pass the discount gas station. Parking is all right there. It's better in the rest of the strip mall.

That Starbucks has been there for years - the same strip mall with Radio Shack at one end and Petco
