Looking for Job from abroad
Hi,
My name is Christian, I am 30 years old, I have a Bachelor's Degree on Administration and experience on financial area (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial and Cost analysis and that kind of stuff). I am looking for a position on Baltimore or surrounding areas and a sponsor. I am willing to assume the costs of the sponsorship procedure and my relocation expenses. I know is very complicated trying to get a job in USA from abroad at this moment but I would like to know if You have any advise or information that can be useful for me.
Thank You very much,
Christian

The newspaper in Baltimore is the Baltimore Sun, so you might want to look at its website and search the classifieds.

Sorry -- we are entering a deep recession w/ lots of layoffs nationwide (w/ some exceptions like Houston or DC)...best try w/ a multi-national and/or get an advanced degree.

Hi
Marry an American.
Honestly, that's the easiest way. Otherwise, it is going to be incredibly difficult. There are not many 'skilled visas' available (look at H1B, which has basically become a lottery). Your best bet is to find a large multinational that has offices where you are and offices in the USA, and then get a transfer to the US through the company (it's one of the easiest visas).
This is a quick FAQ about visas. 99.9% of the people in the world CANNOT qualify for a visa to the US, so please don't be discouraged if you cannot find one that suits you. (note: that website is a very good site for British expats to talk about working in the USA, but some of the comments apply to expats from other countries as well)
Pulaski's Ways: How to Live and Work in the USA : British Expat Wiki
p.s. The company pays for the visa. I think reimbursing them for the visa is actually not allowed under the rules.

p.s. I'm sorry if I sounded a bit harsh, but I think it is important to realize it is basically IMPOSSIBLE for most people to live and work in the US without a bit of luck and a lot of hard work. I've seen oh so many expats fall victim to 'immigration consultants' who promise 'hey, it's easy, fill out this form and send me a check and it will happen.' Of course it never does. It's almost a cottage industry talking up 'how easy it is to work in the US' when the reality is the total opposite. Just trying to help you steer away from some of the fluff that is out there.
