Default Howard County the Laurel area

Anyone knows of or heard of any crimes or thefts happening in the Howard County Laurel development community? I was considering relocating there from Montgomery County.

I CURRENTLY LIVE IN THE LAUREL AREA OF HOWARD COUNTY, IT IS A VERY NICE AREA CLOSE TO 29, 95, ROUTE 1 AND A MINUTE TO THE MARC TRAIN. I HAVE LIVED THERE FOR 7 YEARS AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WHATSOVER. IT IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE AND IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY A HOUSE THE BEST PLACE WILL BE THE NORTH LAUREL PARK. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR MOVE.

I've lived in Howard Co., Laurel since 1989. There is sporadic crime here but it is usually minor. You can check the Howard Co. Police Website. I either drive down 29 to Silver Spring and then take 16th St. to DC. The traffic is usually fine until Four Corners where it slows, then it picks up again. But there are great commuter buses which are cheaper than driving, gas, etc. Check out www.mtamaryland.com. I take the bus about 2-3 days/week. Currently costs $38.25 for 10 one way trips to and from DC. It's cheaper if you get off in Silver Spring (at the Metro).
