Frederick, MD part-time job needed - suggestions?
I'll be moving to Frederick, MD in two weeks and am looking for a part-time job. Was a sales rep for many years and now I'm a caregiver for my mother-in-law and need something part-time to earn a few bucks and get me out of the house. Really not interested in fast food or restaurant work.
Would LOVE something at the local sporting goods stores or ice rinks. (I'm an old hockey and lacrosse player)
Thanks for your help!

Why don't you become a hockey referee?
There's a great ice rink in Frederick with several sheets of ice. I was going to ref there when I lived up in Taneytown, but I focused my extra time on my foray into high school football officiating.
At that time, Frederick had opportunities to ref recreational leagues for adult and youth, travel teams, high school leagues, and womens games.
As a former player, you should be able to adapt to the rule book pretty easily. I've been an inline and ice hockey ref since 1997 and it's a good way to stay in touch with the sport (and make a few dollars as well).

The 2010 Census....albeit somewhat temporary....is now hiring for various positions. I'd say that's a job that will definitely get you out of the house! And it pays pretty decent.

Yes, I believe most of the positions with Census 2010 would be considered part-time, and flexible from what i'm reading. Check it out:
