Default Universities and colleges within easy commuting distance of Aberdeen?

Husband is considering a job near the proving grounds in Aberdeen. I work primarily in higher education marketing. Are there any universities/colleges/schools within easy commuting distance of Aberdeen?

Would living near Wilmington, DE be too far of a commute to Aberdeen?

Let's see. . . a quick and simple google search revealed the following within Baltimore County and City you have. . .

Towson University
Goucher College
Villa Julie College
University of Maryland at Baltimore (professional school consisting of Law, Nursing, Social Work, Medical, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Graduate Schools)
University of Baltimore
John Hopkins University (undergrad, grad, med, hospitals, etc.)
University of Maryland at Baltimore County
Peabody Institute
College of Notre Dame
Coppin State College
Loyola College
Sojourner Douglass College
Maryland Institute of Art
Baltimore International College

Community Colleges include Harford County, Baltimore County, and various ones in Baltimore City

All within an easy commute. By the way, just because he'll work at APG (where I used to work), does not mean he needs to live in Aberdeen (which I would not recommend). There are lots of easily commutable towns/cities nearby that are much more desirable to live in. Case in point. . .Perry Hall, White Marsh, Bel Air, Abingdon, Fallston, Forest Hill, etc.

Towson University would be a great choice. It's north of Baltimore City right off the Baltimore Beltway in a nice suburban city. It's also undergoing a lot of expansion both in campus development and in enrollment. It's the 2nd largest university in Maryland behind UMCP.

Depending on your mutual commuting tolerance, Philadelphia (at least the city and the Main Line) could be inter-commutable with Aberdeen; Lancaster (Franklin & Marshall); or maybe even Penn State Harrisburg (Middletown), in addition to all of Baltimore, and University of Delaware. You could Amtrak commute like our Vice President used to.

Towson U. is also going to be building a branch campus in Bel Air, which is much closer to Aberdeen: Towson University plans expansion in Harford County -- baltimoresun.com
