Cole Stevens Salon and Day Spa is in Greenbelt, MD ... a little out of your way but well worth the trip. It's clientele mostly consists of black women, their service isn't cheap but is well worth it. My mother and I have been going there for years. Her hair is natural now, mine is still relaxed - they handle both masterfully. A year ago, I cut my hair from a shoulder-length style to a pixie. The master stylist and owner, Diane Stevens, is a real pro. Google them and if you're interested, ask for her (they may redirect you to a different senior stylist of there's no time on her book ... they can do your hair, and she can do your cut. I'd recommend Camille or Jolie).
