Serial Killings in PG/Upper Marlboro
Police Investigating Double Homicide in Upper Marlboro Home|ABC 7 News
I recall hearing about the first murder around the new year but just assumed it had to be a domestic attack. Now another mother-daughter killing has occured. All of these areas are considered "safe" so regardless of where you live please be careful out there. This is a sick individual.

Thanks for the heads up. Be glad your local news actually reports this kind of stuff. Here on the shore more crime is swept under the rug than what is actually reported. Its redneck-tastic. lol
Be safe!!

Yes this is very disturbing, It is reminiscent of the sniper killings a few years back, some nutjob who hates women because his mom yelled at him when he was kid or he got turned down by the prom queen, taking his anger out on innocent people. The worse part about it by reading the paper is that their have been 10 burglaries in that neighborhood since the Fall, now the county police are choosing to just follow up on those crimes as it relates to these killings! Come on law enforcement, work proactive, and not always reactive, the best offense is a good defense! I guess the county police are only good for shooting an "armed" (so they say) man 14 times for no reason!
If you don't have one already, head to Realco in District Heights and get yourself a firearm, then head to the gun range in Upper Marlboro and learn how to operate it. Especially if you are a single mom with daughters, and this goes for everyone, not just Prince George's County residents and not just single moms. It is crazy out here, you must protect yourself and your family. I can't rely on anyone else to do that for me.

Well I am in Eastern MoCo and I want to get a stun gun. I want to get one for my daughter too. I don't have this "fairy tale" mentality that my neighborhood is any better/safer than anyone elses. People had better WAKE UP!.

This is so sad. My prayers and condolences to those families. It looks like a nice, quiet area, but it's also kind of off the beaten path. Such a location can attract criminals. The amount of house burglaries indeed should have sparked more interest and action from police. I sure hope police are busting their butts looking for perpetrator(s).

Great advice. As a gun owner, I can proudly say:
"If any man should come into my home with ill intentions, he will have a humbling experience. Whether he makes it out dead or alive will be up to the Lord".
Some would call that radical thinking. I call it being prepared. I hope to never be in that situation.
Criminal activity is based off the element of surprise. Do you think there is a victim of crime out there that actually "saw it coming"? I'll never bring a knife to a gun fight. Protect yourself people!

This has scared the shiggidy out of me. I'm about to go to the gun store in District Heights. I am not about to let myself or my children be the victims of crime once again. I pity the fool who even tries to mess with us again.

It's great to have a firearm in the home for protection. If you choose to do it don't just buy it and shoot it once - get some training and practice. Unfortunately MD is among the 20 percent of states that do not allow concealed carry - unless you want to protect your money. I guess since many politicians have police protection they don't see a need for us peons to have the same. Every year a bill is introduced to change from a May issue to a Shall issue state, but it never gets out of Frosh's committee in the senate for a vote.
Speaking of which, there is currently a bill that would exempt homeowners from prosecution by the criminals attacking them if they used justifiable force in their home. It had unanimous approval in the House for three consecutive sessions, but guess who won't let it out of committee unless he gets some real presure? Correct, Frosh. Here it is: HB 332 & SB 420 Victims of Crime - Burglary and Crimes of Violence. Call, write or email your state senator and ask them to force a vote on it.

Thanks MikeK for the information. I have sent my State Senator the following:
Mr. Pinsky,
I am writing you to urge you to force a vote on: HB 332 & SB 420 Victims of Crime - Burglary and Crimes of Violence.
It is unconscionable to think that occupants of a home risk charges when defending themselves against perpetrators of crime within that home.
This is not a Republican or Democrat matter. This is a right to self-protection and a quality of life issue that affects us all.
Lets stop the silliness in Annapolis. Criminals will have guns no matter what the law states. Your law-abiding citizens deserve to exact just retribution in defense of their family without fear of retaliation from its Government.
Do the right thing, Mr. Pinsky.
Regards,
Michael XXXX

Thank you Mike for the information. A neighbor told me about this issue once before. It is indeed time to take some action.
