Default Moving to Maryland

Any advice on where to live?
I am a single 24 year old female moving to the area.
I am looking for work in the dc area and some parts of Maryland along the metro like Bethesda/Rockville. Also, I am looking a bit in Baltimore for jobs.(I won't live there) I am trying to get a sense of where I should look for places given my background info. Thanks!

Lets start with budget. Do you want to live in an area where you can walk to everything, or do you want more of a suburb? MD is ridiculously expensive and it is really easy to end up in a bad area. Give us some more background info and we should be able to point you in the right direction...

I want to find a place as cheap as I can but in a nice area... Ideally, around 800/month...I am sure I will be sharing an apartment with someone. I want to live with a bunch of people in their mid 20s...thats my only real goal gere

while baltimore has its share of issues, realize that canton, fed hill, and fells point are all really guppy/trendy areas right now.

it actually is a lot of fun. look, maryland is like every other metropolis region. bad parts and good parts. hell, i've been to some places in oakland, ca that seemed like the best place to live ever.

[edit] silver spring is a pretty nice place too.

You might want to look on craigslist or something like that to find some roommates. You probably can't even get a studio anywhere near DC for 800/month...
