Default Black churches in the DMV area with young professionals

Hi, I just relocated to the Baltimore area and am looking for a great church of worship. I am willing to commute back and forth to DC if need be but I would like to find a nice gospel church in the area that has a mix of young professional blacks to connect with. I attended a church in philly that had a mix of fairly young professional blacks so I would like to find that again.

Any suggestions?

Jericho City of Praise, next to the Redskins football stadium, is one that I've been to. There are many churches like you describe in PG County.

Oh cool, thanks. I'll have to check that church out. I've also heard of Full Gospel church. Has anyone heard of that church and if so, how is it?

Lots of young professionals really seem to like First Baptist Church of Glenarden. A new church was built in Upper Marlboro a few years ago. I haven't been there, but I have heard good things about it. I've also heard good things about Reid Temple AME in Glenn Dale. And there's Woodstream Church in Mitchellville -- I've seen some young people and families there as well.

There is also Ebenezer AME Church in Ft. Washington. Very large congregation. I went there a couple of times.

Everything that has been suggested so far are very fine choices. Spirit of Faith Christian Center in Temple Hills, MD (they also have a location in Brandywine) is a good place to visit also. The median age of the congregation ranges between 33 and 40.

Well...I must say I really like First Baptist Church of Glenarden...wonderful church!...the building is incredible...the people are really nice...I would definitely encourage anyone looking for a new church to check it out...I'm definitely coming back even if I decide not to join...it appears to be a new church...new vibe...but down home feel to it...
