Default Festivals
Every year there seems to be some bus or boat ride that went to Maryland for a crab festival(or atleast there was when I lived in NY)...I have never been able to make one of these boat/bus rides and would like to find a crab festival in Maryland this year on my own......So is there a yearly crab festival(s) that you guys have? Or some type of event during crab season? Any info you have is greatly appreciated!!!!

People in Maryland worship the blue crab just about all the time! The ritual is simple, we season them with Old Bay, steam them and eat them! You can find this activity going on just about anywhere you go in the state!

Thanks ghart for your reply. I was hoping to make a trip there this summer probably for a weekend and I was really hoping for some type of festival to attend

The Maryland Seafood Festival is scheduled for September 11-13, 2009 in Annapolis.
Maryland Food Festivals, Food Shows, Wine Festivals, Food Events, Expos, etc.

The National Hard Crab Derby and Fair was held in Crisfield, MD on Labor Day weekend last year. Since it's an annual event, it will probably be the same weekend this year.
