Rockville Apts
We're looking to move from our 1BR apt in Germantown (Park at Kingsview) into a 3BR apt (or 2BR + den) further down the Great Seneca/270 corridor. Anyone here on CD living or knows others who have lived in either the Post Fallsgrove or Avalon at Traville complexes? If so, what are your opinions? I've searched the apartments ratings dot com website already, but am hoping to find other personal recommendations. Ideally, we're looking at a monthly rental budget of around $1700-1800, south of Sam Eig, and west of 270.

Is the place you rented in Germantown safe (Park and Kingsview), does it include garage parking with own W/D. Planning a job move to Germantown and everyone says it is not safe to live there.
Pleae advice.

It's actually very safe. It's located south of 117 Clopper Road and this general area is a nice part of Germantown. Garage parking is available, but at an additional cost. In my opinion, garage parking isn't necessary at all, unless you tend to leave valuables in plain sight in your car. There are quite a number of real nice vehicles here (Landrovers, BMWs, Mercedes, Audis, etc., even a lamborghini (surprisingly)), so I honestly would not worry about your car here. W/D are included in all the apartments as well. I would highly recommend the Park (again the only reason I would like to leave is to move closer to work). The best part is that you can just walk over to the Giant supermarket, which we do all the time. This area is extremely safe and quiet.

My current rent for the 1BR is $1301, I started my lease back in July 2007. No additional cost for parking space. There is no assigned parking, but it's not a concern as there are plenty of parking spaces.

Weird that you end up answering more questions about Germantown than getting answers to your question. I wish I could answer your question. All I know is that that seems to be a nice area.
