Default Teaching in northern Maryland(carroll, frederick, washington)

As a recent college graduate, I'm looking for teacher in the Maryland area. My boyfriend has recently accepted a job in the Chambersburg, PA area. I was told that PA teaching jobs are hard to come by and it was suggested I look into commuting to Maryland. I dont want more then an hour commute and was told to look into Frederick, Carroll and Washington counties for teaching positions. Any suggestions or towns I should look into that would fall into the hour or less commute range. I've only just begun my research so any info would help! Thanks.

http://www.wcboe.k12.md.us/content/d_hr_jobs.cfm Most of the Washington county area is within an hour from Chambersburg.

The map below shows washington county. The only places I'm not sure of (distance wise) are the clear spring/hancock area. And again, anything below the Boonsboro/Keedysville area.

I would stick with Frederick/Washington. Carroll is a little out there for a commute to Chambersburg.

Hi,
We moved to Chambersburg about 1.5 years ago. I do see advertisements for teachers in the newspaper for Chambersburg. I guess it really depends on your certification. You could live in Chambersburg and commute to the following areas: Waynesboro, Gettysburg, Fulton County, Washington Cty. (Hagerstown, MD area) or Greencastle-Antrim.

Here is a link for Chambersburg ISD : www. chambersburg.k12.pa.us

Newspaper link is : publicopiniononline.com

We live in Chambersburg and we both commute to Hagerstown, MD. Hubby's commute is about 20 minutes and mine is about 35 minutes. Good luck!
