Default Bowie State University

Thinking of attending this university. What is the area like? Is it safe? What is there to know about this school? Thanks.

Many of my former students go/have gone to BSU. It's an HBCU. Some of my kids say it's good, others say not. Many of my colleagues have received their BS or MS there. Bowie itself is a pretty good area. Visit and see if it's a good fit for you. One of my students this year has been accepted at Howard and Bowie, she has visited both and wants to go to Bowie.

Bowie's an excellent school! I did my undergrad there. I'm not sure what you're looking for in a school but I think Bowie's a great choice. If I were you, I would take a tour of the school before you decide to go there. I liked it because it was close to my hometown. That being said, it's a commuter school. Many students that go to Bowie are locals so I'm not sure if that would make a difference to you or not. But the area is fairly quiet and safe compared to other areas in PG.
