Default Moving from Florida to work in Beltsville

I was wondering if you could help. I am moving from Florida to work in Beltsville. Is there an excellent family community with good schools and reasonable real estate prices in the $350 range for 4 bedroom houses.

I know it's a lot to ask for. I was thinking Bowie or Laurel. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help.

You probably wont be able to get a 4 bedroom house in either of those areas for that price. Bowie is not a bad place to live but the public school system in PG is lacking... You are probably going to have to look for a much smaller house.

Out of curiosity why are you moving to MD? I lived in MD my whole life and just relocated to Orange Park last Saturday...

You may be able to find a Levitt house in Bowie (3 or 4 BRs) in the $350k range. The house will most likely be under 2,000 sf, although many have been expanded. You can start researching zip codes 20715 and 20716 (20721 and 20720 are two other possibilities). Also, you'll want to look for neighborhoods that are assigned to Whitehall, Tulip Grove and Heather Hills elementaries. Those are the top-rated elementaries in the County. Be aware that if you look close to Rt. 197 between Rts. 450 and 50, that stretch is slated for road widening (where property takings are likely). Good luck.

Sounds like Laurel or points north are best Places like Savage, Columbia, Ft. Meade, Odenton, Ellicot City, Catonsville, etc... A friend lives in Catonsville and commutes to Beltsville.
