Default Greenbelt and Beltsville

How are these areas?

I am looking at an apartment off of Powder Mill in Beltsville and Hanover Parkway in Greenbelt. Is there anything I should look out for?

Thanks!

Both areas are probably the best places to live in PGC in terms of quality of life. Greenbelt has excellent transportation being located right at I-95, I-495, B-W Parkway, and the Metro/MARC station. There are a lot of corporate parks and federal institutions in the area such as the Ritz Camera headquarters, NASA Flight Center, and the US Agricultural Research Center.

I think the area off Hanover Parkway is fairly nice. I hope you're not talking about Powder Mill Village, or Bugville. Other than the roaches at PMV, Beltsville is a good area.

What the hell are you talking about? DO you know anything about PG county base upon your answer it seems you do not.

Both areas are nice but they are not the best areas to live in PG county.

Personally, I'd choose Greenbelt over Beltsville. Like someone else said, the location is more convenient (right next to the Parkway and the Beltway), plus the best high school in PG County is on Hanover Pkwy too.

Which apt complex are you looking at? I know alot of people who live/used to live in the complexes around Hanover Pkwy (Greenbriar, Windsor Green, Glen Oaks, etc) and they never had anything negative to say about them. The only area of Greenbelt I'd stay away from are the Springhill Lake apts, but those are on the other side of the city.

Just stating my opinion, no need for the hostility. May I ask what is the best place to live in PG County that:

1. isn't insanely expensive
2. near to DC
3. nicely developed
4. low to moderate crime rate
5. has excellent transportation options (Metro, MARC, BWI Airport Express Bus, B/W Parkway, I-95/I-495 in Greenbelt's case)
6. Near to numerous retail options (Greenbelt has PG Plaza, 15min to Silver Spring/Wheaton, Largo Town Center and more)

Good to hear something positive about other areas of the county besides Bowie, Mitchellville, Upper Marlboro, Ft. Washington and Accokeek.

Judy Farrall is on a distinguished road
I have a nice one bedroom townhouse for sale in Old Greenbelt. It has a nice size back yard with a big shed, backs up to a school so plenty of privacy. Price $119,000, washer and dryer, air conditioning, private. Please contact Denise at Realty One at 301-982-0044 or 202-538-1281, tell them you want to look at 6 Research Road, Unit K and say Judy Farrall told me about it. It's a good starter house for you. I enjoyed living there but moved to a senior citizens house in the same area. any questions you can contact me at jfarrall@mfri.org or dolls1947@yahoo.com
